How much is that doggie in tha' window...
Well, actually this doggie's not for sale.. The other day, we were driving across town and Charleston (our four-legged family member), happily lapped up the wind with his head hanging out the window.. It struck me how happy he seemed just feeling the wind on his face (snout), smelling all the smells of this country road. I was taken back to when I was a child, holding my hand out the window, letting the wind push my hand up and down. Do you remember how simple life was without worry of schedules, finances, or tomorrow? Emma is at the age that her biggest worry is whether or not Dora the Explorer will be on tv.. I am loving life as an adult (well, at least I'm supposed to be an adult), but miss those days of being a child. So, as you read this post, I want to encourage you to do something NOT your age :) Hold your hand out the window... lay back in the yard and see what the clouds make... draw something, paint a picture, ride on a shopping cart across a parking lot.. Do something childish! I'm going to do the same and I bet, in some way, for just brief moments, we'll once again, feel what made being a child so much fun!!!

A date with Emma...
During wedding season, it is easy to get caught up with all the busyness and loose priorities a little.. While we are working long hours shooting engagements, bridals, family sessions, and editing previous weddings for posting, Emma waits patiently for brief moments that we can play. We take small "polly pockets" breaks and frequently have afternoon tea which is most satisfying regardless of the lack of substance. Well, today Jen had to go out of town, so Em and I had a date.. We took the afternoon and went to Linville Falls for a hike and photo expedition. We had a picnic and even waded in Linville gorge, which caused Em to crash in her carseat on the way home.. It was a great day! Here are some highlights--
I guess Em is a treehugger at heart...
A random nature shot :)
Em found some pretty foliage..
and we watched it float over the falls..

Website Update...
Well, it has been a few days since our last post. We have been feverishly working on finishing touches on the website and working on some beautiful images from recent weddings :)
The new website should be up in the next few days. We are excited about the larger images, clean interface, new newsletter feature, and enhancements over the next few weeks that will be just plain cool! Here is a screenshot of the new site--we can't wait for you to see it live!

Key West wedding
We just returned from a gorgeous wedding in Key West. Jessica and Ash are both beautiful people inside and out. We had a great time on the island with plenty of sunshine and key lime pie :) . We had a fun opportunity to go snorkeling on Friday. This gave me the chance to try out our new fancy camera--a disposable Kodak underwater camera--it's SWEET!
We'll post a slideshow of the wedding when we get caught up a little...
