CJ and Steve-o

Last Saturday, we were priveledged to shoot CJ and Stephen's (Steve-o's) wedding. We have known Steve for many years and have even had him shoot weddings with us as he is a photographer as well. They had a beautiful wedding with gorgeous weather and a full house... We had a blast shooting some in downtown King's Mountain with them!

Thank you guys for an awesome day.. More images to come soon...

Baby Ansley...

Last week was a very hard week for some dear friends of ours. On Saturday, Wes and his wife Andrea, who was 7 months pregnant, lost their baby. After a long labor, Andrea delivered on Sunday afternoon and spent a little time with Ansley Grace. Ansley was beautiful with the prettiest little features and a head full of hair. The funeral was held last week. Please keep Andrea and Wes (and their families) in your prayers as I am sure this will be a difficult Christmas for them. Wes and Andrea are amazing people with very giving hearts and it is hard to see them hurting, but know that Ansley is in a better place.

Don't Rush Christmas :)

We have finally gotten most of the Christmas decorations in place, the smell of cinnamon fills the air... The tree is standing by the window with white, "twinkle lights" (as Em calls them). This year is one of the first for us to have an artificial tree. Living in North Carolina, it just seems wrong to have a tree that we didn't cut ourselves, but we're traveling quite a bit so it isn't practical this season. (Anyway, that's an entirely different discussion.)

After we setup a nativity set in our dining room, Jen noticed Em repositioning all of the pieces. She asked her why the camel and sheep and every other piece were crammed toward the middle of the manger. "They want to be looking at Jesus", Em replied. A simple statement from a 4 year old, yet a challenge for an adult.. To keep the perspective of Christmas..

So as you're catching last-minute sales, wrapping gifts, traveling, cooking, visiting with family and friends I hope this is an encouragement for you to pause. There is a more significant meaning behind Christmas than simply the busyness of the season. I titled the last post "Christmas Rush" and was reminded by my daughter to avoid the rush at all cost..

Christmas Rush...

10 days left for Christmas ordering. If you haven't already received the email, December 10th is the deadline for ordering and getting back before Christmas. Also, remember that we are offering fine-art greeting cards.

Jazz hands~~

So we were at one of our favorite pizza places in Asheville, Barley's and a band was playing swing, big band, classic music. Sunday night we pretty much had the place to ourselves and as we enjoyed our pizza and calzones and the music of Skylark!

lil' ones...

Last week Jen had a great time with these lil' ones. I was editing at home while she was having a blast capturing these.... no hard feelings or anything :)

PICTURE THIS...

Since it's been a while, I thought I'd post some of our shots from recent weddings. Here are a few shots in no particular order from the past few weddings...

Busy little bees...

Wow, it's been a busy few weeks as I notice it's been over a month since my last post. However, it's been an awesome month at the same time :) We recently added a new section to the website called "slideshows". This section will include some of our most recent weddings. So right now, you have access on visiophotography.com to over 700 images! Take a look at the slideshows... we've had such a blast with everyone.
