Congratulations to Kiki and John who were married this weekend. The day turned out beautiful as the ceremony was at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Charlotte. Kiki and John celebrated their reception at Bentley's. What a great evening--Greeks know how to through a great party! Here are a couple of images from their day. Stay tuned for a slideshow soon..

Thank you John and Kiki for allowing us to be a part or your fantastic day! We look forward to getting together with you guys in the near future. Have a great honeymoon (and take lots of pictures :) )!!

another valentines idea--

So if chocolate is not your thing, I would suggest another cool idea. A couple of years ago, Jen got me a Shiatsu back massager by Homedics. Now, I've used the hand-held massager that just vibrates and a roller-type massager, but this seat is the stuff!! I still use it quite a bit and love it.

Now, if you want to kick it up a notch (as Emeril would say), you can treat your someone special to a day at the Grove Park Inn and Spa. There are numerous treatments and services at the spa and the Inn is a fantastic spot in Asheville with long-range views and top-notch service.

Speaking of chocolate--

Speaking of chocolate… James hand-made me a tray of chocolate-covered strawberries a few years ago that were AMAZING! I think I ate about all of them right then. There were all varieties, some with cinnamon, others with drizzled white chocolate… So ladies, instead of buying your wonderful guy chocolate, give him the labor of love and make your own chocolate covered strawberries (that is my personal favorite) or try cherries. Well, then again, you could go out and get him a cool USB beverage chiller & warmer instead, but chocolate covered fruit is a little more romantic :)

valentines day [FOR GUYS ONLY]

Well, it's that time of year again--Valentine's Day! Ok, so I'm not crazy about this holiday as I think it has become such a big deal for marketing purposes.. For me, it ranks up there with Groundhog Day and National Basketweavers' Day :) BUT, I am a bit of a romantic and love to do special unexpected somethings for Jen so once again, this holiday cannot slip by unmentioned. So guys, a word of advice, make Valentines day special for your special someone wether you're crazy about the holiday or not.. I thought this would be a good time to share some ideas for cool gifts for the big day.. Here are a couple that I've come across. First, next to flowers, chocolate is the most given Valentines Day gift. You can purchase your honey some Hersheys or you can really get the brownie points. Noka Chocolate and Vosges Haut-Chocolat are two of the world's premium chocolate creators. Noka has some of the coolest packaging aound and the chocolate is fantastic.
So these are a couple of starting ideas.. Let's hear anyone else's thoughts of Valentine gifts, especially unique ones!

Known for their unique packaging and premium price, Noka is world renowned--

Vosges provides flavorings such as ginger, paprika, and wasabi (YEAH!)

Here is one of the truffles with Indian Curry and coconut over a milk chocolate.

Busy few weeks--

We had a great, but busy few weeks with a number of shoots, a lot of album designing, and many added miles on our car.. Last week, we had the pleasure of hangin' out with Kiki and John, who are to be married this coming weekend!

By the way, for a great place to eat, visit John's place, the Stoney Knob Cafe in Asheville, NC. As well, stop in at Vino Vino for a great atmosphere and a fantastic selection of wines.

Here are a few images from our time with Kiki and John and be sure to take a look at their online slideshow. There will be more images to come from this weekend!

Island dreams...

A couple of weeks ago, we had the opportunity to cover the wedding weekend of a wonderful couple on Kiawah Island. They had a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Cassique with the wedding the next day at The Rivercourse. Tyler and Brook were so much fun... and Ivan was, well Ivan :) Here are a couple of images from their day. You can check out their slideshow by clicking here.
