How much is that doggie in tha' window...

Well, actually this doggie's not for sale.. The other day, we were driving across town and Charleston (our four-legged family member), happily lapped up the wind with his head hanging out the window.. It struck me how happy he seemed just feeling the wind on his face (snout), smelling all the smells of this country road. I was taken back to when I was a child, holding my hand out the window, letting the wind push my hand up and down. Do you remember how simple life was without worry of schedules, finances, or tomorrow? Emma is at the age that her biggest worry is whether or not Dora the Explorer will be on tv.. I am loving life as an adult (well, at least I'm supposed to be an adult), but miss those days of being a child. So, as you read this post, I want to encourage you to do something NOT your age :) Hold your hand out the window... lay back in the yard and see what the clouds make... draw something, paint a picture, ride on a shopping cart across a parking lot.. Do something childish! I'm going to do the same and I bet, in some way, for just brief moments, we'll once again, feel what made being a child so much fun!!!

Hey guys! It's good to see the new (awesome!) site up and going! If I've already splashed in a (FREEZING COLD!) kiddie pool this morning before reading your latest blog post, is it OK if I do something else child-like today? I was thinking about eating an ice cream cone without being concerned about the drips or singing at the top of my lungs at random spots during the day...

Yay, Charleston! I have never seen such a happy dog moment captured so beautifully. Thanks for giving us a smile! I think KC and I are gonna go make mud pies now...
